Project Details

The goal is to provide a series of workshops for parents and students, where nutrition experts can come and teach our families what a healthy snack look like, why are sugar-loaded snacks are not the best for building strong bodies/brains, the effects of sugar in their bodies, how to read a nutritional label, etc. Along with the workshops, we will provide healthy snacks for the parents and students. The entire school will be impacted because what happens in my classroom is what happens school wide and community wide. I seek to inform parents and open their eyes to what they are feeding their children. As a parent, I know we want our children to be strong, strong bodies=strong brains; the only way we can build strong bodies and brains is through proper nutrition.

Partial Funding Plan

If we don’t reach our funding goal I will seek the help of other teachers and community members and potentially provide small workshops for parents and students.
